User Interfaces

After discovering my love for coding last year, I strived to find an intersection between art and programming. I joined App Team Carolina, an iOS app development club at UNC - Chapel Hill, in the fall of 2022 to learn from experienced peers about how to create aesthetically pleasing and useful products that people can use every day. Below are some memorable projects through my journey learning Swift the last few months.

Spotify UI

My first interactive UI project recreating Spotify from a reference. I used buttons in order to change the color of the heart and shuffle icons when pushed.

Cheezy!

My first original app. I integrated features such as @State variables in order to change the background's color corresponding with the count and a Navigation Link for the Settings view.

iOS Photos

My fall 2022 semester final project. The objective was to create an existing app's UI as accurately as possible. This is my largest project so far, where I integrated multiple views, created original data types for each camera roll, added an area for text input, and created a scrolling grid organization.

Wise Buys

Pearl Hacks Hackathon project made by a team of 4 female developers

Won Best Improvement of Customer Experience award from Genesys over of 40 other projects.

Original iOS app built in 24hrs where the user creates a shopping list and is given the cheapest grocery store trip from imputed table data containing inventory and prices from popular local grocery stores.

I created the search view functionality to find the desired food item from the dataset and created a button connection to Google Maps in the checkout view.
